PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
Are you annoyed by perceptible play and rattling between the upper and lower receiver of your AR-15? The red stabilizing wedge (Accu-Wedge) from the renowned brand UTG Leapers is a simple, ingenious in its simplicity, and 100% safe accessory that instantly eliminates construction play between the Upper and Lower Receivers. It improves the weapon's compactness, comfort when shouldering for a shot, and the operating culture of the AR-15 / M4 platform rifle.
Eliminate structural play in a fraction of a second
Most AR-15 platform rifles (even those from reputable manufacturers) have factory mounting tolerances which, over time – with intensive shooting and pin removal (Takedown Pins) – turn into perceptible play. The UTG stabilizing buffer acts as a precise play compensator. Placed in the rear part of the trigger housing, under the rear mounting pin, it generates controlled pressure that perfectly stiffens the entire structure.
Using the UTG wedge guarantees:
-
Complete elimination of the "rattling" and knocking effect of the carbine during dynamic movement on IPSC/3-Gun ranges or during tactical training,
-
Better, more consistent feel of the weapon in the shooting position, which positively affects repeatability and grip confidence,
-
Reduced micro-vibrations of the structure during bolt carrier operation.
Durable, flexible rubber and bright color
The wedge is injection molded from high-quality industrial rubber, which is characterized by excellent shape memory and resistance to crushing. This material does not react with gun oils, solvents, or aggressive cleaning chemicals. Thanks to its bright, red color, the buffer is perfectly visible during field stripping. This facilitates quick inspection of the carbine's interior and prevents accidental loss of the element on a black gunsmith's mat or in the grass at the shooting range.
Full versatility and easy, tool-free installation
Installation of the accessory does not require any gunsmithing modifications, use of adhesives, or specialized tools. Simply slide out the rear pin, open the carbine, and place the wedge in the free space behind the trigger mechanism housing (under the buffer spring pin).
✂️ Fitting Tip: As the depth of the pocket in the trigger housings of various manufacturers (e.g., Aero Precision, Smith & Wesson, Anderson, Daniel Defense, WBP) can differ slightly, the UTG buffer is designed with a slight excess of material. If, after inserting the wedge, the rear pin is too difficult to push in or the receiver does not close, you can easily trim the base of the wedge (by approx. 0.5 - 1 mm) with a sharp utility knife or scalpel, perfectly adapting it to your firearm.
