Looking for a way to speed up your Kalashnikov reload and improve handling during dynamic shooting runs? The enlarged NRP 2.0 FTCS charging handle extension is an ultra-light, aluminum ergonomic accessory, designed for uncompromising reliability. Thanks to its aggressive knurling and advanced triple-secured mounting system, the extension guarantees a secure, instantaneous grip on the bolt carrier – even with thick tactical gloves or in pouring rain.
Aggressive longitudinal knurling – Maximum grip
The factory, narrow charging handle in AK system rifles can be problematic during quick jam clearing or weak-hand reloading. The NRP 2.0 extension completely eliminates this problem by drastically increasing the total working surface of the component.
The cylinder surface has undergone deep, precise longitudinal knurling. The milling process creates a dense structure of geometric protrusions and depressions that perfectly "grips" the hand or shooting glove. This texture effectively reduces the risk of fingers slipping, ensuring 100% consistent grip regardless of the presence of sweat, mud, or gun oil.
Aircraft aluminum construction with Cerakote® FDE coating
In sport and tactical shooting, every gram on the moving parts of the action matters. The extension is cut from light and high-strength aluminum, making its weight only 21 grams. Its low weight ensures that the accessory does not disrupt the bolt carrier's operating cycle and does not negatively affect the weapon's recoil characteristics.
The outer surface is protected with a professional, ceramic Cerakote® coating in matte FDE (Flat Dark Earth - H-267 code) or black. This provides extreme resistance to abrasion, scratches, corrosion, and aggressive gun solvents, while giving the weapon a modern, tactical look.
Secure FTCS mounting – Three stabilizing screws
Many shooters forgo cheap extensions due to their tendency to fall off under the powerful vibrations generated by the AK bolt carrier. The NRP 2.0 model uses a proprietary, robust mounting system based on three stabilization points:
-
Two independent set screws that rigidly counteract the extension on the profile of the factory handle,
-
One transverse retaining screw, blocking the component from longitudinal displacement during an energetic pull.
