Revolutionary PDOT optics and extreme beam focus
At the heart of the Nitecore NPL27 flashlight is an advanced optical system designed with digital technology – PDOT (Precision Digital Optics Technology). In combination with an efficient LED, this system achieves an enormous beam intensity of 42,000 candelas (cd).
In practice, this means that the flashlight not only widely illuminates the space in front of the shooter but also casts a concentrated, tight beam of light (a "hotspot") over a distance of more than 400 meters. This allows for blinding a potential assailant, penetrating smoke or fog, and precisely engaging targets at distances rarely seen in pistol lighting.

The device is powered by a dedicated, detachable 500 mAh lithium-ion battery, which is charged directly via a modern USB port (cable included). The electronic system offers two optimized operating modes, switched using an intuitive, ambidextrous switch:
