PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
Looking for a way to make your pistol operate more smoothly, reduce recoil, and return to target faster? The progressive recoil spring from global shooting sports tuning leader – Eemann Tech – is an advanced component designed for demanding users of 1911 and double-stack 2011 platform pistols. Invest in a weapon's operating culture that will give you a real advantage on the shooting range.
Two-phase compression – Innovation in recoil control
Unlike standard springs with a constant stroke, the progressive Eemann Tech spring features a variable distance between its coils, which gradually decreases towards its end. This design redefines the pistol's automatic cycling, dividing it into two key compression phases:
-
Phase one (Gentle start): At the beginning of the slide's rearward movement, the section with widely spaced coils is compressed. This ensures smooth, jerk-free unlocking of the weapon and a fluid start to the cycle.
-
Phase two (Reinforced final resistance): As the slide approaches its extreme rearward position, the densely wound progressive section comes into play. It generates increasing resistance, effectively slowing the slide just before it impacts the frame.
Component protection and better "Split" in dynamic shooting
Limiting the sudden impact of the slide against the rear of the frame brings enormous benefits. It drastically reduces mechanical wear on key weapon components (including guide rods, slide, and barrel lugs), extending the pistol's lifespan. For the shooter, however, the most important benefits are the drastically reduced recoil impulse and less muzzle rise. The pistol behaves more stably, which allows for shorter times between successive shots (known as splits) while maintaining perfect accuracy.
Wide range of tuning and universal compatibility
Progressive recoil springs are fundamental to tuning a firearm for a specific powder charge or bullet weight (e.g., Factor ammunition in sport).
-
Compatibility: Pistols based on the classic 1911 architecture (Government, Commander) and high-performance double-stack 2011 pistols (e.g., Staccato, Bul Armory, STI, Rock Island Armory).
-
Application: Dedicated for competitive and dynamic shooting in classes designated under IPSC, IDPA, and 3-GUN rules.
